Student Composers Awarded

Recital planned for April

Six Akron Public Schools student composers have been awarded for their compositions in the Scholastic Composer Competition this year.

The Annual Scholastic Composers Competition is hosted by the Children's Concert Society; students submit their original compositions to be adjudicated by grade level.

Our own Cole Johnson, a senior here at Firestone CLC, was awarded first place for his composition.

A recital featuring all first place winners will be held on April 3, 2019, at 6:00 PM at The Portage Country Club
