Congratulations to our student musicians.

Nine Akron Public Schools ensembles performed at the Ohio Music Educator's Association Large Group Contest.  The nine ensembles include five bands, three choirs, and one orchestra marking the largest number of ensembles APS has sent to contest in recent history.

Six ensembles received superior ratings for their performances. Bands and choirs that receive superior ratings are invited to perform in the State Large Group Contest in May.  

The Falcon ensembles include: 

• Firestone CLC Men's Ensemble - Superior
• Firestone CLC Orchestra - Superior 
• Firestone CLC Symphonic Band - Superior
• Firestone CLC Symphonic Choir - Superior
• Firestone CLC Women's Ensemble - Superior
• Firestone CLC Concert Band - Good
